Time for an update.

((This post is stuck to the top of the page for anyone inquiring about wedding availability.  Please scroll past it to see new posts.))

I know, I’ve been MIA for a little too long.  This fall has been crazy…I am finally finishing up wedding albums from the summer and just caught up on all my edits.  I don’t think that’s ever happened before!  Besides business chaos, there’s this wonderful man:

who I’d much rather spend my evenings with than take time to update this blog (no offense :) ).  And there’s this little girl:

who will be making her debut in the next month or so and has me frantically nesting and preparing for her arrival.  There’s also this little girl:

who just turned four and keeps every day packed with pink and princesses and plenty of excitement.

So.  With that, it’s time I make the big announcement that many of you have heard through the grapevine but that I have yet to announce…

Kendra Love Photography will no longer be taking on photography clients.

It’s true.  And with a twinge of sadness that I announce it.  But mostly it’s with excitement – I get to be free to just be Wife, Mom, and, well, Me.  It’s not that photographing your beautiful days isn’t a joy, it’s just that I’m entering a season where I’m excited to pour everything I have into the blessings right in front of me.

That said, can we still be friends?  If you’re interested in seeing what we’re up to, you can always check out my personal blog, which honestly gets updated with about as much frequency as this one, but I’m hoping that will change.  I have to keep my sanity somehow. :)

And, fortunately for you loyal clients out there, I have a wonderful alternative for you on your wedding day – Emily Koska worked with me all summer long and hasn’t ceased to impress me with her talent and passion for photography.  And, best part, she’s fun.  Totally someone I’d want to hang out with on my wedding day.  100% recommendation from me.

A note about WORKSHOPS and future work:

I will still be photographing here and there for friends and family, so if you’re interested, you can feel free to email me for pricing and to check the availability for your wedding date.  I also intend to continue offering beginning photography workshops and one-on-one consults as long as interest remains.  To be added to the list to receive information about the next workshop dates, email kendralovephotography[at]gmail[dot]com.

Thank you, thank you, thank you

to everyone who has contributed to the success of Kendra Love Photography (and Hadley Photography).  Keep checking back for the occasional photography post!

Merry Christmas, from my family to yours.

David & Brandi | Fargo Wedding Photography

I haven’t had a chance to share this beautiful Christmas wedding of my cousin David and his lovely bride, Brandi. Enjoy!

David & Brandi preview

I’m not usually very good at giving sneak peeks, but I wanted to show this bridal party from yesterday that going out in the frigid cold was totally worth it. :) Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Thompson!

Richard & Traci | Fargo Wedding Photography

Richard and Traci’s gorgeous September wedding included some of the most beautiful details I’ve ever seen. I wish I could show you every. single. one. Traci is a wedding photographer herself, so I would expect nothing less. But the details weren’t the only beauties that day. ;) Traci was a wonderful bride. Here are (more than) a few of my favorites.

p.s. I had a wonderful second shooter for this wedding. You should like her. :)

Upcoming Workshop

FUNCTIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY

Saturday, November 3rd
9am – 12:30pm
Location will be announced to registrants

This is a beginner photography workshop for people wanting to learn to use available light and take more control of their images.  Perfect for moms and anyone exploring a photography hobby.

We’ll talk about:

-selecting equipment
-technical camera settings – moving towards Manual
-working with available light
-composing your shots
-getting natural looking images
-story telling through pictures
-basic image editing and ordering

You do not need to have a Digital SLR camera to participate but it is helpful – you will likely leave the class wanting one. :)

The registration fee is $150.  Space is limited so register ASAP!  Email kendralovephotography[at]gmail[dot]com (or use to the contact form at the top of this page) for more information or to register.

And because every post needs a picture, here’s a sneak peek of Bradyn’s two year shots from a few days ago:

Looking forward to it!
