Time for an update.

((This post is stuck to the top of the page for anyone inquiring about wedding availability.  Please scroll past it to see new posts.))

I know, I’ve been MIA for a little too long.  This fall has been crazy…I am finally finishing up wedding albums from the summer and just caught up on all my edits.  I don’t think that’s ever happened before!  Besides business chaos, there’s this wonderful man:

who I’d much rather spend my evenings with than take time to update this blog (no offense :) ).  And there’s this little girl:

who will be making her debut in the next month or so and has me frantically nesting and preparing for her arrival.  There’s also this little girl:

who just turned four and keeps every day packed with pink and princesses and plenty of excitement.

So.  With that, it’s time I make the big announcement that many of you have heard through the grapevine but that I have yet to announce…

Kendra Love Photography will no longer be taking on photography clients.

It’s true.  And with a twinge of sadness that I announce it.  But mostly it’s with excitement – I get to be free to just be Wife, Mom, and, well, Me.  It’s not that photographing your beautiful days isn’t a joy, it’s just that I’m entering a season where I’m excited to pour everything I have into the blessings right in front of me.

That said, can we still be friends?  If you’re interested in seeing what we’re up to, you can always check out my personal blog, which honestly gets updated with about as much frequency as this one, but I’m hoping that will change.  I have to keep my sanity somehow. :)

And, fortunately for you loyal clients out there, I have a wonderful alternative for you on your wedding day – Emily Koska worked with me all summer long and hasn’t ceased to impress me with her talent and passion for photography.  And, best part, she’s fun.  Totally someone I’d want to hang out with on my wedding day.  100% recommendation from me.

A note about WORKSHOPS and future work:

I will still be photographing here and there for friends and family, so if you’re interested, you can feel free to email me for pricing and to check the availability for your wedding date.  I also intend to continue offering beginning photography workshops and one-on-one consults as long as interest remains.  To be added to the list to receive information about the next workshop dates, email kendralovephotography[at]gmail[dot]com.

Thank you, thank you, thank you

to everyone who has contributed to the success of Kendra Love Photography (and Hadley Photography).  Keep checking back for the occasional photography post!

Merry Christmas, from my family to yours.

-Kendra

remember me?

It’s been awhile.

This little girl (and her big sister, of course) have been keeping me rather busy:

But the time has come to (finally) get a workshop scheduled.  I’ve had lots of interest and with this early spring beckoning us all outside, it’s time to learn how to work with this wonderful natural light!

I would like to register for the May 5th workshop.
I have a canon rebel slr. I was wondering if there is a certain filter that you suggest? Also, how would you like me to pay for the workshop?

Thank you,
Laura Aaland

Ashley & Adam

One of the many fun things about this session is that these pictures were taken at MY house!  On a beautiful (albeit rainy) fall day.  Ashley and Adam are one of my few 2012 couples, and they stuck it out through the cold and rain – I love these:

Ben & Emily

These two have been engaged for awhile, but we finally worked out meeting up in Iowa City en route to my family vacation.  Emily is a good friend from college, and I can’t WAIT for their November wedding!

Hi Kendra,

I am Ben Wischnowski’s Aunt. I met you in the lobby of the hotel just before everyone departed. I was wondering if you could please share the website link to the wedding photos? In particular I was hoping to order prints of my family your assistant took against the black drape at the reception?

You did an amazing job –
Kathleen Ringenberg
